Day Trip To New Jersey

Yesterday, December 27th, Me, Alex Fawess, and Jeff Anthony took a trip to New Jersey around 5 am, we were blessed with New Jersey perfection. The first spot we checked, which was pretty much just a parking lot, looked really sick. No one was out. It was about 8 foot dumping barrels of the jetty. We decided to check a couple of more spots father south and we didn't think it looked much better then the first spot we checked. So we got some food and went back to the first spot we checked. Still looked pretty good.So the boys went in. The lighting was absolutely horrible and it wasn't as good as we thought. So we went even farther south to a town called "Long Branch" as we were driving on Ocean Blvd, we saw two New Jersey local guys get spit out of perfection. So Alex and Jeff paddled out. Thank god we checked there. The lighting was absolutely perfect and the waves were even better then the first spot we checked. It was absolute perfection. Here is a little preview of the day. For more photo's visit JC Beierle's website at jcbhotpix.com in the next week or so photos should be up.

East Hampton Bra!

Me and Blake Ferraro took the train to to visit our buddy Brian Pollak in Bridge Hampton. Beautiful town, nice houses, nice cows, and just an overall clean town. We had some funny times! We were excited for the morning and checked the surf report constantly because we thought we might be lucky and have some fun waves in the AM..

..We get up in the morning and get a little nervous because all the reports look like crap. So we check about 4 spots anyway, and neither of the 4 spots had waves. We remembered seeing a little wave on a camera in the town of East Hampton. So we say, screw it, lets go check East Hampton. We get there and finally see a wave. It was about a half foot, 30 mph winds, and 20 degrees air temperature with the wind chill. So we spent some time taking "life styles" !!

THE WAVES SUCK!

I must say the waves lately have sucked. There has been swell but the wind is just destroying it and it gets me angry. There is a feeling of un-easiness when i don't get to surf at least twice a week and right now that un-easiness is building up to the point where i'm about to EXPLODEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Modern Collective

Ok I've seen surfing progress alot the past few years. A rodeo flip here, a kerrupt flip there... but every wave? And some other crazy, spinning, flipping, "I'm gonna jump off my board and magically land back on it" moves that I've never seen before... are you serious? Lets just say I'm pretty sure I have never yelled "HOLY S***" more times in my life!

Oh yeah, here's Jordy getting worked:

G-Men Topple 'Boys

Headed over to the Giants vs. Cowboys game yesterday 12/6. A relative of mine has season tickets so he gave us a few for the game. Turns out that they were FIRST ROW 50 YARD LINE! Couldn't believe my eyes as I watched the Giants getting amped before the game and even checking out how the water man (yes it was an old man) mixing up some Gatorade for the beasts. Anyway, besides getting a salute from Aaron Ross, a fist pump from Ahmad Bradshaw, and a "one more" from Brandon Jacobs, I also snapped this little clip. Attempted to just get the Cowboy's field goal attempt but it was short and Domenik Hixon started to return it. The two teams got into a little skirmish and I got all of it. It's not too clear but check it out:

Waves......again?

We're looking at some decent sized waves for friday, 12/4. Strong winds from the west will make conditions bumpy, but hey, waves are better than no waves at all.

Walton, Delaware County

I spent the weekend after Thanksgiving in a little town called Walton. It is in the Delaware County. Let me tell you, it is a very boring town and half the people who live there are either in there late 80's or they are younger with half there teeth missing. But the one thing that i couldn't wait to take a trip up to was the Walton cemetery where i found out that 144 people in this cemetery fought in the civil war, many people who fought in world war 2, and people such as Albert H. Sewell who was a member of the New York State Assembly, and was also part of the New York State Supreme Court. It was pretty cool when we first got there because half of the cemetery was covered in fog so it gave a cool effect, so i snapped a few photos. Take a look at the photos. This cemetery was a big deal!

Night out before thanksgiving=MAYHEM

All the boys came back from college for thanksgiving and Wednesday was a night full of mayhem and bad decisions. Blake Ferraro woke me up at 7 am to go for a surf after stumbling into my bed around 5 am. I was so hung over I could not even stand up in the water!

More waves in November

As you can see the waves were not to big but it was for sure rippable. Maybe 5 foot on sets. Then as the day went on a beautiful sunset came alive and I was able to get some cool portrait shots. Looking like some more waves for the rest of the week into Turkey day!
